Golda Meir: A Life from Beginning to End
By Hourly History

Discover the life of Golda Meir...Golda Meir began her career as a grassroots activist whose tireless efforts helped ensure the creation of a Jewish homeland. As a diplomat and negotiator, she played a pivotal role in securing the recognition and funding that made the founding of Israel possible in 1948. She would go on to serve as the new nation’s foreign minister and, ultimately, as its prime minister—one of the first women in the world to hold such an office. Her dedication to the cause came at a great personal cost, however, since her own family was often neglected by her absence from their lives. Her children would long speak of how lonely they were without their mother. Yet in light of all she had achieved, Golda Meir readily declared that she would do it all again if she had to. Because for her, there were some things that were bigger than herself—bigger even than her own family. She had latched onto a goal she wished to see to fruition, and she wasn't going to let anything stop her. Emmeline Pankhurst: A Life from Beginning to End
By Hourly History

Discover the remarkable life of Emmeline Pankhurst...Emmeline Pankhurst remains one of the most pivotal women in history. For others, such words might be an overstatement, but for Emmeline Pankhurst, they are simply the truth. She came of age at a time when women had no voice in the affairs of their own country, and she made it her life's work to change that. What began as grassroots activism quickly turned into nothing short of a crusade that would reshape British society and inspire women across the world.Yet Emmeline Pankhurst would pay a steep personal price for it. She was beaten by police, imprisoned repeatedly, and even force-fed by her jailers when she went on hunger strike rather than submit to a system that refused to recognise her as a full citizen. She buried a husband, two sons, and a sister along the way, but through all of it, she never wavered. This audiobook chronicles her struggle for equality as well as her personal life. The First Intifada: A History from Beginning to End
By Hourly History

Discover the fascinating history of the First Intifada...
The First Intifada was an uprising in the Gaza Strip and West Bank that began in 1987 and ended in 1993. There are two quite different and contradictory historical perspectives on this conflict. Palestinians generally viewed the uprising as a popular resistance movement against military occupation and policies they experienced as oppressive. From the Israeli side, however, the actions taken were seen as a reasonable and legitimate response to protect citizens and soldiers from violence and to maintain order in territory under their control.
With the benefit of thirty years of hindsight, is it possible to consider a more balanced account of the First Intifada? Why did it begin, what happened, and how did it lead to changes in the Gaza Strip that have shaped subsequent developments in the region to the present day? This is the complex story of the First Intifada.Discover a plethora of topics such as:

Otto von Bismarck: A Life from Beginning to End
By Hourly History

Discover the remarkable life of Otto von Bismarck...Otto von Bismarck was not the kind of man who waited for history to happen. He made it happen, and he didn't much care whose feelings got hurt along the way.Bismarck was the pragmatic Prussian statesman who engineered Germany creation as a unified nation through Realpolitik—the unsentimental art of doing whatever it takes to get results. While other politicians speechified and moralized, Bismarck was already three moves ahead, turning all of Europe into his personal chessboard. He made allies, manipulated kings, and baited emperors just so he could maneuver them into position to wage war on them later. Where others saw diplomacy as a matter of trust and principle, Bismarck saw it as a tool to be picked up and discarded as the situation demanded. It was his cynical disposition that allowed him to make and break alliances whenever politically suitable, and he played this game masterfully all the way to Germany's unification under his rule. Few could have threaded the political needle the way Otto von Bismarck—the Iron Chancellor—did. This book follows both his life and his unmatched political career.Discover a plethora of topics such as:

Nazi Germany: A Concise History of the Third Reich
by History Brought Alive

Nazi Germany didn’t start with tanks, camps, or war.It began with political chaos, inflation, and a nation hunting “enemies within.” Hitler was voted in, welcomed, and normalized long before dictatorship was obvious. He promised to make Germany “great” again. If you’ve ever wondered why millions backed Hitler, why people watched Jewish neighbors disappear and stayed silent, why propaganda and strongman politics keep returning, or how a democracy can die quietly through fear, division, and a leader promising to fix everything, this audiobook tells the story clearly from start to finish.Inside, you’ll discover:How Germany’s democracy cracked in public through inflation, street violence, and voters begging for someone to take control.
How Hitler rose from failure to national obsession through speeches, lies, and timing.
How dictatorship was built through paperwork, new laws, and cheering crowds.
What everyday life looked like inside a society ruled by fear.
How hate became policy as Jewish neighbors were listed, restricted, isolated, and deported.
How ghettos spread across Europe with shocking speed.
Why the Nazis lost the war and how the seeds of defeat were planted long before the final battles.
No lectures, no worship, no excuses, and no lies. Just the real story of how it happened.

Isabella I of Castile: A Life from Beginning to End
by Hourly History

Discover the remarkable life of Isabella I of Castile...Isabella I of Castile was one of the most pivotal monarchs in history. For some, such words might ring of hyperbole, but for Isabella, it is simply the truth. Her reign didn't just shape Spain—it reshaped the world. Ascending to power during Spain's final push to reclaim the Iberian Peninsula, Isabella completed the centuries-long Reconquista and unified a fractured kingdom. She accomplished this in an era when women rarely wielded sovereign power. Though she didn't command troops in battle, she personally oversaw strategy, logistics, and troop movements, and even established field hospitals for wounded soldiers—an innovation centuries ahead of its time. But her legacy extends far beyond Europe's borders. When an Italian navigator named Christopher Columbus sought backing for an audacious westward voyage, Isabella saw what others couldn't. Her decision to sponsor his expedition launched Spain into the Americas and triggered a collision of civilizations that would forever change the course of history.Discover topics such as:Early Life: The Unlikely Queen
